Acting president Yemi Osinbajo on
Thursday, February 9, met with a delegation of protesting Nigerian
Labour Congress members at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The
protest which was organized by the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) and the
Trade Union Congress (TUC) was also held simultaneously in Lagos state.

Omoyele Sowore joined the protest which began from Maryland to the Lagos
state secretariat in Ikeja.
In Abuja, some
workers gathered at the Unity Fountain, to commence the march against
what they call the effect of poor governance anti-corruption.
Among
those who met with the acting president are Tunde Aremu, the deputy NLC
president; Ayuba Wabba, the NLC president; and Baba Gaigama, the TUC
president and representatives of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).
Government
officials present at the interaction includes Ibe Kachukwu, the
minister of state for petroleum resources; Senetor Chris Ngige, the
minister of labour and employment.
