Tension grips Ogun as students confront Gov Amosun over outrageous allowances and salaries of politicians

The ogun state government has been challenged by Nigerian students who trooped down in their large numbers in protest over funding of education in the state.
In a tense meeting with the state governor, student leaders challenged the governor saying: "If you want citizens to make a sacrifice, you must make sacrifices with your outrageous allowances And salaries."

Meanwhile, Governor Amosun has appointed a new Chief of Staff and Head of Service, Premium Times reports.
In a press statement made available to newsmen on Thursday evening, January 5, it was gathered that Amosun appointed Tolu Odebiyi as his Chief of Staff, while Abayomi Sobande was appointed as Head of Service.
The statement signed by Secretary to the State Government, Adeoluwa Taiwo, said appointment of the duo was with immediate effect.
